Jungle Explorer

Riding elephants through lush jungles, giving alms to the monks at sunrise in Luang Prabang, pretending to be explorers in the temples of Angkor and feasting on fabulous Laotian cuisine are the hallmarks of this family friendly tour of Laos and Cambodia.

The journey begins in the French colonial city of Luang Prabang, where there are some spectacular temples to be explored. We visit an elephant camp and discover thousands of Buddha statues by boat. In Vientiane, bargains abound in the local markets and the beautiful majestic temples recount the history of this emerging Asian nation.

Leaving Laos, we fly to Siem Reap in neighbouring Cambodia where the historic Khmer civilisation and stunning sight of Angkor Wat will leave a long lasting impression on all members of the family. The largest religious complex in the world, we spend time wandering around the beautiful man-made wonder of the Temples of Angkor and have the option to enjoy cycling around the temples before joining a hot air balloon ride above the Cambodian jungle. An opportunity to gain an insight into some of Cambodia's ethnic minority cultures presents as we explore villages and meet the locals in remote rural communities.

Our trip concludes amongst the magnificent markets, colonial architecture & relaxed atmosphere of Phnom Penh.
