Kids Fares
Infants who do not occupy a seat are charged 10 per cent of the applicable adult fare.
Qantas offers special airfares for children on certain less restrictive fare types, but conditions apply. Check with Qantas for details specific to your planned flights.

Kids Luggage Allowance
Children travelling to/from the USA, US Territories, Tahiti, South America and Canada, via the Pacific, are allowed two pieces of luggage to be checked in, each weighing up to 32kg. All other international flights allow 20kg per child.
Infants can check in 10kg of luggage for all international flights.
Adults accompanying infants are entitled to check-in one collapsible stroller or a carry basket or bassinet (to be stowed in the aircraft hold) and infant food and nappies for use inflight. This is in addition to the normal free baggage allowance for adults.

Kids Entertainment
The in-seat screens supply entertainment on demand. There are six movie categories, including one dedicated to family and general viewing that shows eight movies. There a Kids TV channel with Disney programs, Wiggles and Bananas in Pyjamas episodes plus lots more. There is a comedy channel, documentaries and lots more for kids of all ages. Parents can ask the cabin crew to block any programming that is unsuitable for kids.

Kids Meals
Special child, toddler and baby meals are available and need to be booked at the time of reservation, otherwise standard meals will be supplied. Let Qantas know your child's age when ordering.
If you are travelling with a child or infant aged between 0 and 23 months who has food allergies or special dietary requirements, you’ll need to provide their meals. Qantas doesn’t provide infant formula.
Children will be served their meals first.

Kids Packs
The Wiggles kids kit for three to six year olds contains a satchel, an activity game, either the Big Red Car or Dorothy's Garden, an activity book, a stencil, colour pencils and a pencil sharpener.
Penguin Puffin kids kit for seven to 11 year olds has three pens, three plastic hypergraph pieces, hypergraph paper, die-cut card pop-up car or dog, magnetic matching or tangram game, magnifying bookmark and a 32-page activity book.

Babies on board
Qantas carry a limited supply of well-known baby food, milk, baby bottles and brushes, cereals and rusks, but only for emergency use. Baby formula is not carried on the aircraft. It is advised you bring your own baby supplies. Cabin crew can prepare, heat and wash bottles or dummies on request.

Book your bassinet at the time of reservation. Bassinets may be requested for infants up to 18 months of age, but the recommended age limit is eight months. The weight limit is 11kg. Infants paying 10 per cent of the adult fare who are too large for bassinets are not entitled to a seat and must be nursed. Alternatively, the payment of a child's fare would ensure a seat. Bassinets are subject to availability.
